A CASE FOR ART

A study of human cultures reveals an interesting tidbit: the older the culture, the more respect for art. This is true of cultures past and present. In many cultures today, people regularly budget for art purchases. They have learned the importance of finding specific art for their homes and offices, art that will move, soothe, cajole, or carouse.

The fact that you are here, now, is encouraging. We all need to find our art, and help others as well. Tangible art lasts. It can be passed on. It nurtures. There is a reason why older cultures honor art and artists. Perpetuate that. Seek your art, and your artists. And pass it along. That’s what I do.

Sincerely, James Randolph
